Ajith’s highly anticipated action-thriller Vivegam, which features him in the role of an Interpol agent, is slated for release on August 24. It was originally planned to be released on August 10 but the makers pushed the release by two weeks. A section of the fans were disappointment with the postponement but here’s some good news for them. The film’s trailer is most likely to be released on today midnight, and it’s going to be a day of celebration for the fans.
The film has been directed by Siva, who has teamed up for the third time with Ajith after Veeram and Vedalam. The film also introduces Vivek Oberoi as the antagonist to Tamil filmdom. Kajal Aggarwal and Akshara Haasan play pivotal roles. Vivegam has been predominantly shot across exotic locations in Europe, especially in places such as Serbia, Austria, Georgia and Slovenia among others.
As movie business goes, even pre-release collections, make big news. Baahubali 2, the second part of SS Rajamouli’s fantasy series, reportedly made Rs 500 crores before its release. Now, Ajith starrer Vivegam has got everyone excited as it has apparently earned Rs 120 crores before hitting the screens. It’s a new non-Rajinikanth record for a film even before its release and Ajith’s fans have every reason to celebrate. According to a trade pundit, such unprecedented craze for a Tamil film hasn’t been witnessed in recent times.
