It has been a slow third week for the Kabir Khan-helmed Tubelight, starring Salman Khan in the lead. The film that is set against the backdrop of the 1962 Sino-Indian War minted Rs 114.84 crore within four days of its third week at the domestic box-office. The first week collections went past Rs 100 crore with the total turnout being recorded at Rs 102.57 crore. Week two and week three saw the numbers dip with Rs 11.42 crore and Rs 85 lakh respectively.
After the historical performance of Baahubali 2, Kabir Khan’s directorial Tubelight was also expected to create magic on box office. But unfortunately nothing came out in it’s favor and just after three weeks, the movie is almost vanished from theaters. In it’s third week, the latest collaboration of Salman and Kabir recorded limited footfalls in theaters and reported the business of only 1.01 crore in the weekend, that included 0.27 crore of Friday, 0.34 crore of Saturday and 0.40 crore of Sunday.
In its third week, it received very low response through out and minted the amount of 0.73 cr in the weekend that includes 0.25 cr of Friday, 0.21 cr of Saturday and 0.27 cr of Sunday. In weekdays, witnessed more lesser response and done the business of 0.14 cr on Monday, 0.12 cr on Tuesday, 0.10 cr on Wednesday and 0.08 cr of Thursday. After 3 weeks, total collection of Tubelight is recorded as 119.68 cr on domestic box office.
With this, total collection of Tubelight after 3 weeks, has become 120.17 crores at domestic box office. From overseas market, it has grossed approx. 46 crores and raised it’s worldwide gross total to 212.90 crores including 166.90 crores gross from India.
