The early trends suggest that TEPK has a fair start on Tuesday. The drop is okay in the morning shows which has ensured a decent amount today. There will be growth in the evening which can push the film to a higher number. The overall occupancy was in the range of more than 15%. North India continues to sustain even on Tuesday while there were considerable drops in Rajasthan and Mumbai. The film has found huge appreciation in North India and it is likely that film will remain in theatres for some weeks in the region.
The audience feedback was excellent, in fact it is one of the best-received films of the year. But it is the first normal day since its release so it will be interesting to see its impact. As word of mouth will come into play today and this will decide that how big hit it can be. 150 crore looks on cards which will make it the highest grosser for Akshay Kumar and also highest grosser of the year.
On total five days collection of Toilet Ek Prem Katha has become 83.70 crores at domestic box office and with this it has emerged as the 7th highest grosser of 2017 so far by surpassing Hindi Medium (69.59 crores). From overseas market, TEPK has grossed around 14.59 crores in 4 days of release. On the other hand, the collections of Toilet – Ek Prem Katha does manage to out beat other releases of 2017 like Badrinath Ki Dulhania that collected Rs. 12.25 cr, Kaabil that collected Rs. 10.43 cr and Half Grilfriend that collected Rs. 10.27 cr.
According to the early trends, Toilet Ek Prem Katha 6th day collection can target for 7-8 crores. Though a lot will depend on how it fares in the evening show. TEPK has collected 20 crore on Tuesday which has taken its total to 83 crore in 5 days. The first week is now looking to finish in the range of 95 crores.
