Mohanlal’s Pulimurugan released in 2016 and huge success in Mohanlal’s career. The film also won National Awards for Mohanlal and action director Peter Heins. The film was dubbed into other South Indian languages and was a decent success too. Now we hear that Bollywood Super Star Salman Khan may do a remake of the film.
Salman Khan was in Dubai to promote his upcoming film Tubelight that is being directed by Kabir Khan. Speaking to the media, Salman Khan mentioned that he has worked on remakes like Bodyguard and Kyon Ki… in the past and will watch Pulimurugan now. The actor said, I have acted in two Malayalam remakes—Bodyguard and Kyon Ki. Now I am going to watch Pulimurugan. The actor, however, did not confirm that he will be taking up the remake but indicated that he might do it.
Salman Khan also said that he would like to meet the director of his earlier film Siddique after watching Pulimurgan. These indications were sufficient enough for speculations that Salman Khan will do the remake of Pulimurugan. Pulimurgan stands as one of the best movies in Mohanlal’s career because of the top-quality stunts in it. The story is about how a village fights tiger attacks and how Mohanlal helps them achieve that. The film went on to become a stupendous success commercially and received critical acclaims as well.
Mohanlal is currently working on his upcoming film with director Lal Jose which is yet to be titled. Lalettan will complete this film and start his preparations for the epic Mahabharata, which will be an adaptation of Randamoozham.
