Naga Chaitanya and Rakul Preet Singh starrer romantic and family entertainer drama Rarandoi Veduka Chudham was released on 26th May in a very grand manner. On its opening day the movie received positive responses by the audiences and critics from everywhere. It is directed by Kalyan Krishna and produced by Akkineni Nagarjuna under the banner of Annapurna Studios. The movie has collected Rs 3.42 Cr shares at the box office of both Telugu states, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana on its weekend day.
Rarandoi Veduka Chudham uses the age-old run-of-the-mill set-up to establish the story and its characters. As far as the plot is concerned, there is nothing new that one can expect from the family drama – fathers pampering their children, children falling in love with the enemy’s son and the clichés. Finally, when things are set to take an offbeat turn, a simple clarification of a misunderstanding brings the plot to a happy ending.
The movie has been successful in pulling family audiences to packed theatres with its melodramatic appeal, which, of course is quite a rarity these days. And with a plus point like this, Rarandoi Veduka Chuddam might pass off as a one-time-watch this summer.
The film is made with the budget more than Rs 30 crores while theatrical rights are sold for whopping prices.Rarandoi Veduka Chuddam is the biggest opener in Naga Chaitanya’s career. The film collected $75000( 50 lakhs approx in rupee) with premier shows only. The USA box office collections of Premam exceeded the previous movies collection of Naga Chaitanya
