With just 10 days left for the grand release of the most anticipated film Baahubali: The Conclusion, it looks like the audiences are in for a treat. Prabhas will be playing three characters in the sequel. While Prabhas essays Amarendra Baahubali and his son Mahendra Baahubali/Shivudu in the film, buzz is that the actor will be seen as Baahubali’s father. However, we await an official confirmation regarding the same.
It must be noted that Baahubali: The Beginning became the first dubbed Hindi film to gross Rs 100 crore at the box office. After the stupendous success of the film, Prabhas became a global star for several reasons. Made on a lavish budget of Rs 250 crore, Baahubali is touted to have earned more than Rs 500 crore even before its release through its satellite and distribution rights.
The film has recently been in the news as the movie is facing a protest from pro-Kannada groups which has demanded Sathyaraj to apologize for his remarks on Kannadigas during the Cauvery row. The film will release worldwide in IMAX on April 28. Baahubali 2: The Conclusion will release over 6500 screens across India, which makes it the first film to have such a big release in the history of cinema.
The highly anticipated trailer Baahubali 2: The Conclusion received over a 100 million views across four languages. It has become the most viewed Indian film trailer on video sharing site YouTube. Despite an early leak, the film’s trailer was released in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi and Malayalam on March 16. In no time, the trailer went viral online.
