In an utterly shocking incident, female students were forced to remove their inner wear at an NEET examination centre in Kerala on Sunday. The girl students said that despite no such instruction was laid by the Board, the authorities at exam centre remained adamant and forced them in order to let them enter the exam hall.
On condition of anonymity, a female student revealed that the officials asked her to remove her bra when the metal detector made a beep sound because of the steel buckle. She admitted that since she had only 10 minutes to enter the hall and there were no houses nearby, she had removed her brassiere at the entry point itself, in the presence of women invigilators and staff.
A girl student from Kasaragod who attended the examination at the TISK English Medium School, Kunhimangalam near Koovapram in Payyannur told the media persons that the examination centre’s officials asked her to remove bra when the metal detector made a beep sound because of its steel buckle.
The mother of one candidate said, “My daughter went inside the centre, only to return later and hand me her top innerwear.” On girl student said, “It was 9.20 am and I had only 10 more minutes to enter the hall. So I asked them to permit me sue toilet to change but they refused. There was no house nearby. But thanks to one lady invigilators and staff who were present at the entry point so I removed it from there itself.” The officials also asked her to remove the slippers, which too was not a NEET rule.
