Malayalam superstar actor Mohanlal went live on Facebook with the puja ceremony of the upcoming film, Odiyan, which was held in Thiruvananthapuram. The film, that also features Manju Warrier and Prakash Raj, is a fantasy thriller shot in 3D. The movie is directed by V.A. Shrikumar Menon.
According to Times Of India, the story is about Odiyan, people belonging to a tribal community of Palakkad-Malabar region. Odiyan is one of the most anticipated films of Mollywood thanks to Mohanlal’s never-seen-before avatar that grabbed the eyeballs of moviegoers. The project is helmed by VA Shrikumar Menon who will also be directing the Rs 1,000-crore budget Mahabharata.
In the movie, Mohanlal plays the last surviving Odiyan from the rural Kerala. The music is by M. Jayachandran, and the action scenes are choreographed by the stunt director of Pulimurugan, Peter Hein. Produced by Antony Perumbavoor, Odiyan will be shot at various locations of Palakkad, Pollachi, Udumalpet, Banaras, and Hyderabad. The movie has been scripted by Harikrishnan, who won the National Award for his script for Kutty Srank.
After receiving a tremendous response for the promo teaser and motion poster, the team of Odiyan has conducted the pooja ceremony marking the official launch of the movie.
