Duniya Vijay, the super star of Sandalwood in a story which is a good message to the society and the forest. There is a controversy around the film. While filming the climax fight scene for the upcoming Masti Gudi film, two stuntmen playing villainous roles: Anil and Uday along with Vijay jumped into the Thippagondanahalli reservoir from a helicopter.
With Save Tigers, Save Forest, and Save Animals as its basic concept, the movie explores the life of Maasthi, who is the Kavadiga’ of Drona, the elephant that leads the Jamboo Savari at Dasara Festival in Mysuru every year. The movie sheds light on the poaching activities that took place in the BRT forest range in the 90s and how Maasthi fights against all odds to preserve the forest and the animals.
A plot which will make it easier to understand for the audience but a predictable story makes it a little bit boring. Vijay will make you a fan of his with his performance. The climax was a little overwhelming for the audience. The concept they chose to show audience is very good and well represented. Duniya Vijay’s performance and a message to save Tigers in the film is very well shown.
Nagashekar said, “I was not comfortable with that and was biding my time, wondering what to do next when actor Vijay called me with a proposal”. He said that he was only meant to write the story of Maasti Gudi, but I ended up directing it as well. The filmmaker further added, “At that point, I was committed to direct another film, but as luck would have it, that project was stalled and I was able to work on Maasti Gudi. Making this film was my destiny,” explains the filmmaker”.
