Powerstar Pawan Kalyan’s Katamarayudu has entered into second week successfully. The film received mixed talk but the movie ended its first week on strong note. The film has collected a whopping Rs 54 Cr in its first week. About Rs 45 Cr came from Telugu states. Producer and distributors are confident that it would perform well at the box-office in second week too.
As a result faced big dip in its business on the second day and started struggling to maintain a decent pace. Somehow with the support of fans, Katamarayudu managed to perform steadily through out its opening week after the first day. Katamarayudu is an official Telugu remake of superstar Ajith Kumar’s Tamil movie Veeram, which was released in 2014. Everyone found it entertaining and showed big thumbs up for Pawan Kalyan starrer.
Based on the simple story of a elder bother who is a superman for his village and his four younger brothers, Katamarayudu impressed with direction and screenplay. Anoop Robens music is an added advantage for the flick. From the first day itself, the movie has been creating many new records at the box office. Katamarayudu opened with Rs 42 crores with more than 95% occupancy ratio.
Now the movie has entered in the second week and experiencing decent response of audience in weekend. On Friday it reported slight drop response than Thursday and raked 2.40 crore* as its 8th day collection and the total box office collection of Katamarayudu will be around Rs 52.25 crore*.
