After an excellent opening weekend, power star Pawan Kalyan and Shruti Haasan starrer Katamarayudu is heading on a good note in weekdays. Being much awaited Telugu offering, this romantic action-comedy was released on Friday with immense excitement of fans as well as audience and as expected received overwhelmed response from them.
The story is of an influential and powerful man in a village in Rayalaseema and is about his efforts to protect his girlfriend and her family from an imminent danger. The movie also stars Shruti Haasan in the lead role. This is the second film of Pawan Kalyan and Shruti Haasan together after Gabbar Singh, which had also enjoyed a successful run at the box office. Apart from them, the movie also features Siva Balaji, Ajay, Kamal Kamaraju and Chaitanya Krishna in pivotal roles.
Now the movie is running in weekdays and getting lesser footfalls in theaters than earlier. On Monday with around 55% of drop than previous day, it added the amount of 4 crores nett (5.05 crores gross) to it’s account. On the next day i.e. Tuesday with slight more drop, Katamarayudu minted the amount of 3.50 crores nett (4.40 crores gross) and made it’s 5 days domestic total as 43.75 crores nett (55.20 crores gross).
On Monday it faced 55% of drop than Sunday and minted the amount of 4 crore. Then on the next day with slight more drop, it raked the business of 3.50 crore as its 6th day collection. On Wednesday it reported little drop and added 3.07 crore* to its account and made its 6 days total as 46.82 crore* on AP/T box office.
