The Power Star Pawan Kalyan and Shruti Haasan starrer remake movie of Veeram Katamarayudu released this friday received nice response and reviews theatres amidst huge fan-fare on March 24 was expected to do a roaring business until the next week. Katamarayudu has overtaken the collections of actor’s Sardar Gabbar Singh and Gabbar Singh and emerged the biggest Pawan Kalyan opener in Nizam.
On Saturday like other south Indian movies, this one too faced abrupt fall in it’s business graph but managed to collect decent amount of 5.10 crores (6.40 crores gross). On Sunday, with good growth Katamarayudu minted the amount of 8.90 crores (11.25 crores gross) and made it’s opening weekend total collection as 36.25 crores (45.75 crores gross) across Telugu states (AP/T).
It faced a only 55% of drop than Sunday and added the amount of 4 crore to its account. On the next day, it reported slight more drop and done the business of around 3.10 crore* as its fifth day collection. Till the end of its 1st Tuesday, total collection of Katamarayudu is calculated as 43.35 crore* from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states.
The film follows the story of his efforts to protect his girlfriend and her family from an imminent danger. The audience found the film entertaining and showed big thumbs up, while the critics also gave positive reviews and gained strong word of mouth. The movie has now settled for a business of Rs 54 crore (Gross worth) from its release
