Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma-starrer, Jab Harry Met Sejal, showed a slight dip at the box office, earning Rs 15 crore on Saturday. The film has collected a total of Rs 30.25 crore in two days. Trada analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted the latest figures on Saturday. He’d said that growth on Sunday would be crucial for the Imtiaz Ali film to succeed.
Jab Harry Met Sejal’s opening day box office collections of Rs 15.25 crore was the fourth-highest opening of 2016, after Baahubali: The Conclusion (Rs 41 crore), Tubelight (Rs 21 crore), and fellow SRK-starrer Raees (Rs 20 crore). Now with its Day 4 box office collection is expected between 15-16 crore and enter into 50 crores mark on Monday. It is the second film of Shah Rukh Khan in 2017 after Raees which has been released in January 2017. The film went onto become SRK’s lowest opener in the last five years.
Jab Harry Met Sejal is directed by Imtiaz Ali and produced by SRK’s wife Gauri Khan under their banners Red Chillies Entertainment. The film stars Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma in lead roles, while Aru Krishansh Verma, Chandan Roy Sanyal, Evelyn Sharma, Paras Arora and Sayani Gupta in supporting roles. The film’s Music is composed by Pritam & Diplo and Background score by Hitesh Sonik, while Cinematography by K.U. Mohanan and editing by Aarti Bajaj.
The film revolves around tourist guide Harinder Singh Nehra aka Harry (SRK), a cheap man, who discovers himself and love while helping Sejal (Anushka) find her engagement ring, which she loses on a vacation in Europe.
