The movie minted close to Rs 2.3 crores gross on the 7th day of its release at the Kerela box office. The total 8 days collections of Mammooty’s The Great Father is Rs 22.2 crores gross. The Great Father surpassed the 1st-day collection record of Mohanlal’s Pulimurugan, it failed to cross Pulimurugan’s first week collections of Rs 25.43 crores gross at the Kerela box office.
The movie released in 150+ screens in the rest of the India on March 31st, the day after film’s initial release in the Kerela. It performed moderately outside the Kerela in its 6 days run and minted close to Rs 3.7 crores gross. The total collections of debutante director Haneef Adeni’s The Great Father till date are Rs 25.9 crores gross. This is a superb start for Mammootty’s film at the box office and it is his career-best collection in 1st-week at the ticket window.
Now, the team of Mohanlal’s upcoming movie 1971 Beyond Borders is gearing up to beat the records of The Great Father with the Major Ravi directorial set to release in over 200 theatres across the state on 7th April. The Advance booking of the movie has been received good occupancy.
