Chakravarthy is an undercurrent Action thriller based on the grey world with the tagline, a rare combination of brain and crime, Darshan starrer Chakravarthy directed by debutant Chinthan is an unusual showcase of the underworld, balanced with family emotions, underlined with the relationship between a husband and a wife.
Some multiplexes also had midnight shows, which rarely happens for a movie in South India. All this proves the extent of hype that was generated by Chakravarthy. Although the makers are yet to open up on the first day collections of the film, trade experts predict the Darshan-starrer would have earned over Rs 12.45 crore on the first day. The holiday due to Ambedkar Jayanthi drew in the audience in big numbers.
On the second day decent drop and making the Saturday total income to be near 5.75 Crores*. But the third day has gone highest among the first weekend standing at 9 Crores*. Total first weekend collection of Chakravarthy is approximately 27.20 Crores*. On the whole weekend response of audience towards film is commendable and 1st weekend business much nicer.
A good movie with a little confusing story makes its way to the theaters. The Movie has much bigger thing to see which is Darshan’s acting while the antagonist is his real life brother Dinakar Thoogudeepa. Even his performance in the movie went decently according to the role. Some of the portions in the film have been inspired by the real-life stories of the gangsters who operated in Bengaluru in the ’80s and ’90s.
