Tiyaan is an action Malayalam film which shows the fight of a warrior who is going to free the people from the tortures of the politicians and powerful people. He gets defeated but he works and then defeats the enemies. Prithviraj played the role of a warrior named Aslan Mohammed and his brother Indrajith is playing the role named Pattabhiraman in the movie Tiyaan. The movie falls into the slow pace very often, which severely affects the flow of the narrative. A few portions in the movie, especially the portions which portray Pattabhiraman’s struggles, are over-stretched and repetitive. The graphic effects used in the movie are fine. Mohandas, the art director has done a brilliant job. Vivek Ranjit, who has handled the subtitling department of the film, deserves a special mention.
The movie got 45% occupancy on the morning shows and by the end of the day resulted in a good growth and collected the amount of Rs 2.64 crores. The movie has a budget of Rs 20 crore and took one year for its production and to make it done for release. The script and cinematography were also widely appreciated. Multiplexes have made a major contribution to the opening business of the movie according to the reports.
