Box Office: 1971 Beyond Borders 4th Day Collection, Mohanlal Starrer Crosses 15 Cr Total with Monday

Mohanlal appears in dual roles as army officers Mahadevan and Sahadevan in the directorial venture of Major Ravi. The movie is the fourth instalment of Major Mahadevan series after the successful films Keerthi Chakra, Kurukshetra and Kandahar. The war drama marks the Mollywood debut of Telugu actor Allu Sirish and Bollywood artist Arunoday Singh, who will be seen as Lieutenant Chinmay and Lieutenant colonel Rana Sharif, respectively.

The movie conveys certain strong message that the soldiers only follow the orders and the other nation are not their enemies. Though there was many difficult scenes that have been shoot, mainly with the tanker. The film is set back in 1971 Ind vs Pak war. Though the movie is watchable by both fans and with family, firstly we can only thank our legend Lalettan for the huge fan base and that badass entry of the movie.


The official reports are yet to be revealed by the production team. On the second and third day movie is expected to cross 6+ crores as Saturday and Sunday are the weekend. Fourth day being Monday could not reach the mark and ended up making less box office collections till Matinee shows. Number can be estimated at 2 crores on the fourth day. On the other side, Mammootty ‘s The Great Father is smashing all theatre records made in the recent times.

The movie has been simultaneously made in Telugu as 1971 Bharatha Sarihaddu. The Mohanlal-starrer gets released in over 405 screens across India, in Kerala, Chennai, Bangalore, Coimbatore, Mumbai, Delhi, NCR, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Dehradun, Gujarat, Aurangabad, Nashik, Nagpur, Pune, Madhya Pradesh, Kolkata, Orissa and Goa.
