Ayushmann Khurrana, Kriti Sanon and Rajkumar Rao starrer is based on a book, The Ingredients Of Love by Nicolas Barreau. The rom-com has finally hit theatres – earlier the movie was supposed to release on July 21 but the date was later shifted to August 18. The trailer of the film was released in the month of July by Junglee pictures. Director Tiwari is a newbie in the industry with her earlier movies including The New Classmate (2015) and Tamil drama film Amma Kanakku.
All the leading actors have tasted failure in their last ventures, and also Bareilly Ki Barfi has not been promoted on a good scale. So considering the facts it is expected to open in a range of 2-2.50 crores, as most of the audience is still unaware about it’s release. But yes if viewers react in favor, the movie could take decent growth over the weekend. On the other hand, Gurinder Chadha’s directorial Partition 1947 is the Hindi version of English movie Viceroy’s House stars Hugh Bonneville, Gillian Anderson, Manish Dayal, Huma Qureshi, Adil Hussain and Michael Gambon.
However, Akshay Kumar’s Toilet: Ek Prem Katha is bound to pose a stiff challenge to Barfi. According to the trailer of the film, its story revolves around Bitti (played by Kriti Sanon), She is a small town girl whose mom is on the lookout for a groom for her, but Bitti does not want to settle for anything less than a man who will accept her the way she is. Ayushmann Khurrana has been cast opposite to Kriti and he is playing the role of Chirag Dubey, who is the owner of a printing press and wants to woo Kriti.
Rajkummar Rao is playing the role of a ‘kabab mai haddi’ in their story. His role is of Pritam Vidrohi with whom Bitti falls in love. The trailer of the movie has the power to attract a section of the audience that is not looking for anything serious but wants to enjoy their time at the theatres.
