Bank Chor Review by Taran Adarsh, Komal Nahta: Rajeev Masand, KRK, IMDb Bankchor Review

Bank Chor Starring Riteish Deshmukh and Vivek Oberoi, hits the silver screen this Friday, June 16th, 2017. The film directed by Bumpy who made his directorial debut with the 2011 film Luv Ka the End, which also marked his debut as an actor. The film is produced by Asish patil under the banner Y-Films.

Bank Chor film tells the story of Champak Chandrakant Chiplunkar, a simple Marathi manoos played by Riteish Deshmukh who picks the worst day possible to rob a bank. To make matters worse, he recruits two idiots from Delhi who’ve never even picked a pocket in their lives. They capture bunch of hostages including a high-strung housewife, a hyper chef, a possibly undercover cop, Baba Sehgal and many more.

CBI officer Amjad Khan played by Vivek Oberoi, who shoots first and interrogates later. And a mad media circus outside led by fashion journo turned crime reporter Gayatri Ganguly aka Gaga played by Rhea Chakraborty. And you know the Bankchors are up for the worst day of their lives. Yet. The film promises to be a crazy roller-coaster ride with thrills, chills and certainly lots of spills.

The opening day numbers could at maximum stretch towards the 2 crore mark, and that would be actually fair for the Riteish Deshmukh and Vivek Oberoi starrer. The last time the duo came together for Great Grand Masti, the opening day was poor at 2.50 crore, more so since the film had already been pirated online.
