The SS Rajamouli film Bahubali 2: The Conclusion is set to release in one day. The fans are waiting eagerly to know why did Katappa kill Bahubali. According to a popular online ticket booking site, over 1 million tickets have been sold in 24 hours.
If Bahubali 1: The Beginning earned an overall share of 302 Crores WW with a gross value of close to 600 Cr, the pre-release business of Bahubali 2 has touched a whopping 500 Cr which includes that of theatrical cost, satellite value, audio, VR, animated series and books etc. The humongous theatrical value of AP/TG circuit alone is estimated at 122 Cr which is highest ever for any Indian movie in a single state.
The Karnataka region’s rights stands at 36 Cr and the distributors are confident of recovering the cost since the first part of the franchise had collected a share of 40Cr. With the hype and hoola and the being a summer release without any stiff competition from other big releases, the movie is expected to rake in the required amount.
Tamil Nadu theatricals are estimated at 47 Cr then the Kerala region has purchased it for 11 Cr which is still the highest for any dubbed/non-Malayalam movie. Tamil Nadu could well be a major contributor as the movie franchise consists of actors such as Ramya Krishnan, Nasser, Satyaraj etc., who are Tamil actors and the other lead characters are well-known in the Kollywood circle.
