The re-issue of Baahubali: The Beginning is sure to generate hefty returns as well as driving ticket sales for Baahubali: The Conclusion: Everyone who buys a ticket for the first movie is guaranteed to get a seat during the sequel’s opening weekend.
The producers, Arka Mediaworks Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni, have already fully recouped the mammoth 250 crore ($37.5 million) production budget from the sale of theatrical and satellite rights. This is the smart move by distributors to re-release first part of the movie three weeks before the release of it’s second part Baahubali 2- The Conclusion, which is scheduled to hit theaters on 28th of April. This would definitely build huge hype for the new installment among audience of north India.
Starring Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anuskha Shetty, Tamannaah, Nasser, Ramya Krishna and Sathya Raj, the sequel will roll out on more than 750 screens in North America on April 27 and the following day on a record 6,500 screens in India and in more than 30 other markets.
Earlier Baahubali started it’s journey on box office with the opening business of 5.15 crores from 1500 Hindi screens. Now releasing with 1000 screens, it is positively expected to register the business of around 2.75 – 3.25 crores on Friday. This amount is good enough, as two more Hindi offerings Laali Ki Shaadi Mein Laaddoo Deewana and Mirza Juuliet are also being released.
