Filmmaker SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus Baahubali: The Conclusion will be released in 6,500 screens across India. With every passing day, expectations mounted on Baahubali: The Conclusion is huge among fans of the franchise. While the film is currently in its post-production stage, an exciting news has surfaced online.
According to reports, Baahubali 2, which is made on a budget of Rs 120 crore, will release in 6,500 screens across India. Interestingly, Baahubali 2 is the only Indian film to achieve this feat. Reports also suggest that the film will release in over 1000 screens across the world.
Baahubali 2 releases in 4 Indian languages – Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi on 28 April. The film’s trailer is now the most watched ever on YouTube with over 87 million views (all language versions combined). The number of screens being over 6500 is significant when it’s compared to a film like Salman Khan’s Sultan which released in 2016 in over 4300 screens across India, which was the highest for a Bollywood film.
Last week, the makers finally released the trailer of Baahubali 2, which received outstanding response from fans, clocking more than 85 million views on YouTube. Cumulatively, Baahubali 2 trailer is touted as the most watched Indian film ever. Starring Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah, Sathyaraj and Ramya Krishnan, Baahubali: The Conclusion will hit the screens on April 28.
