SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali 2 is a masterpiece of art and deft storytelling. A sequel to Baahubali: The Beginning, the Prabhas-starrer was a massive hit at the box office worldwide earning more than Rs 1,000 crore within 30 days of its release. The movie released worldwide on April 28, 2017. Such a record from an Indian movie is stupendous! But then records are meant to be broken and Baahubali 2 is no exception.
Aamir Khan’s Dangal has done the unimaginable and crossed Rs 1,000 crore box office collection mark, that too only from the China box office. It has earned Rs 1,869 crore worldwide and is fast heading towards the Rs 2000-crore mark, a first for any Indian movie. Aamir Khan could not have asked for more from the movie which did really well in India and also shined at the Chinese and Taiwanese box office.
Baahubali 2 is now running in weekdays and still adding considerable figures to it’s account. The weekend total included 1.60 crore of Friday, 2.20 crores of Saturday and 2.10 crores of Sunday. On 6th Monday, SS Rajamouli’s directorial recorded around 20% of drop than last Friday and minted the business of 1.30 crore with 0.60 crore from Hindi and 0.70 crore combined from Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam screens.
Baahubali 2 seems to be unstoppable at the box office, the films is constantly adding zeros to its collection. Rana Daugbatti and Prabhas blockbuster film Baahubali: The Conclusion has earned approximately 1,665 Crores at the box office worldwide. The film now inches towards 1700 crore collection worldwide. S.S Rajamouli’s magnum opus Baahubali 2 has turned out to be a huge game-changer in the entertainment industry as it has collected 1,050.45 crore nett (1,355 crore gross) at the box office. In the overseas market, the film earned approximately 310 crores at the box office.
