Akshay Kumar is all set to bring the Great Indian Laughter Challenge to the small screen. The show is making a comeback but this time the judges are different. Earlier Navjot Singh Sidhu and Shekhar Suman judged the show but this time Akshay will be seen stepping into their shoes. Releasing the first promo on Twitter, Akshay asked people to send their entries.
Given Akshay’s immense popularity around the nation and abroad, this will ensure amazing TRPs of the show. The time slot of this show is yet not revealed but chances are it would be a weekend show. With Akshay coming on the small screen, other comedy shows including The Kapil Sharma Show, would be given stiff competition. The probability of Akshay going on Kapil Sharma’s show after The Great Indian Laughter Challenge goes on air seem dim as of now.
The earlier seasons saw Navjot Singh Sidhu and Shekhar Suman as the two judges. For season 5, makers are yet to zeroed in on the two judges but a source close to the development revealed to BollywoodLife that Akshay Kumar will be the Super Judge of the show. The show that started in 2005, saw as many as four seasons. And gave us talented comedians like Sunil Pal, Ahsaan Qureshi, Kapil Sharma, Chandan Prabhakar etc.
As far as Akshay Kumar’s fans are concerned, they would be happy to see the star crack jokes on reality TV. His sense of humour is amazing and we have seen it in his movies like Singh Is King, Welcome and Housefull. Getting to experience in a format of reality TV is obviously amazing.
